Sorry for the delay

Aunt Jean informed me recently that people actually DO read this blog. She chastised me for not posting an update on Dad's condition. So, I am sorry for the delay, but here is your update.

Dad is well. He spent approximately a week in the hospital, but is now home and seems to be doing better. The key is that it is entirely up to him whether he stays healthy or not. If he falls off the wagon and stops taking care of himself, there is only so much Mom can do before he gets sick again. So, in short, so far so good, keep your fingers crossed.

I stumbled across this way cool YouTube video...many thanks to the guys at WDEV for mentioning it on the air several times early last week. Check it out...it's a video of what happens to boiling water at -34.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

A minor weather update...it was brutally cold most of last week. We're talking daytime highs of 5. No, I didn't miss a number. Today is proof that Spring is springing, it's 40 degrees and the snow is melting everywhere. One thing to keep in mind though is that Hannah's birthday is in another week, so we're bound to get at least one more event of some kind, but I'll take 40 while it lasts, and it should last a while. The weather gurus are talking about sugaring weather - Bring on Spring!
